Home Coming Membership Picnic:
The Post is sponsoring a Membership and Family Picnic on August 15, 2010 at the Post Home, 39 Columbus Ave Niantic.

Town Hall Meeting with Congressman Joe Courtney
There will be a Town Hall style meeting at the Post Hall on August 12, 2010
at 6:30PM. Congressman Courtney will be discussing the NEW benefits and programs for
Veterans recently passed by Congress. ALL are welcome!
Come early to get a seat.
Roast Beef Dinner:
Be sure to attend our monthly "All You Can Eat Roast Beef Dinner" the first Saturday of every month, Second Saturday in July. For information Click Here for directions Click Here
Italian Dinner
We have added an All You Can Eat Italian Dinner the 4th Saturday of each month.
We serve at 6:30PM at the Post Home 39 Columbus Ave Niantic.
Hall Rental
Our meeting hall is for rent when not occupied. It has a listed seating capacity of 68 persons. We have a 360 sq foot adjoining deck that faces the water. Kitchen facilities are also available. Have your function overlooking Niantic Bay. For information Click Here
Our membership meetings are the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00PM at the Post Home located at 39 Columbus Avenue Niantic, Connecticut. Both the VFW membership and Ladies Auxiliary meet in our hall at the same time. Men's Auxiliary meetings are currently being organized contact a VFW member if you wish to become a Charter Member.

Post Home Repairs:
The Facilities Committee under the direction of chairman Robert Farrior has continued to work on the much needed repairs to our Post Home. Through their persistent hard work and the community support they have gained change is starting to show. We have a long way to go and your support would be greatly appreciated. Post Community Functions / Fund Raisers:
Community Roast Beef Dinner for July will be held on the second Saturday instead of the first Saturday due to the 4th of July Holiday.
Community Italian Dinner will be held on the 4th Saturday of each month.

Voice of Democracy:

New Medical Equipment Loaning Program:
Ladies Auxiliary starts "Veterans We Care We Share TM" program. Through this program an assortment of Durable Medical Equipment is available on loan to veterans and the families of veterans. The Ladies Auxiliary is accepting addition pieces of equipment for this program. For donations of equipment or for information on what is available Click Here
Fall Tag Sale:

Meetings:
Our next VFW & Auxiliary meeting for Niantic Post 5849 will be on July 20, 2010 at 7:00PM at the Post Home.
This months VFW District 4 (meeting) Fridays at 7:30pm at TBA.
Men's Auxiliary:
